Keeping up with your pet's dental health is crucial as many health issues can start with bad dental hygiene. To prevent or treat dental disease, we offer:

• Oral exams

• Teeth cleanings; While animal dentistry requires anesthesia, it is similar to human dentistry in that we use dental x-rays to clean each tooth above and below the gum line.

• Tooth extractions if needed

Our veterinarians use diagnostic imaging to quickly and accurately diagnose your pets’ health conditions. Imaging includes:

• Radiographs– or X-rays – help our doctors evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular (cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems.

• Abdominal ultrasounds and echocardiograms are performed by the trusted mobile service, Veterinary Heart Sounds, on Tuesdays and Thursdays at our office. By appointment only.

To travel internationally with your pet, it is important to plan ahead. Each destination country has its own requirements‍ that must be met before your pet can enter; most do require a health certificate that is issued by a USDA-accredited veterinarian. If you are traveling abroad out of a New Jersey-based airport, then please call us to schedule a one-hour appointment to go over travel requirements and receive any necessary vaccinations or tests. Once your appointment is made, then please fill out this IHC Form prior to bringing your pet in.

Laboratory tests play a large part in identifying the cause of your pets’ illnesses and diagnosing diseases. We use our in-house laboratory to perform specific blood tests and urinalyses; results are provided within minutes.

For fecal tests and other specialized cases, such as blood tests, urinalyses, and biopsies, we send those lab specimens to a trusted external laboratory that we work very closely with. Most of these results are available within a few days.

We offer FDA-approved laser therapy, a highly effective non-invasive treatment that works by using focused light to increase blood flow and improve healing by releasing endorphins and helping injured cells heal at a faster rate.

Some disorders that respond well to laser therapy include: arthritis, wounds, otitis, lacerations, cystitis, and post-surgery incisions.

Microchips can play a major part in safely reuniting lost pets with their families. A microchip is a tiny device the size of a grain of rice that is implanted under the skin between a pet’s shoulder blades- no anesthesia required! Proper nutrition is crucial in maintaining your pets’ overall health and well-being. Our experienced doctors provide individualized nutrition counseling to ensure that your pets are given the optimal diet for their specific needs. For pets with medical conditions, we also stock prescription food from Hill’s and Royal Canin for your convenience.

In addition to offering a variety of prescription foods, we also maintain a fully-stocked in-house pharmacy to meet your pets’ prescription needs. From parasite preventatives to pain medication, we carry prescription medications to safely administer pharmaceuticals in a timely manner. We also provide written scripts for you to bring to third-party pharmacies if preferred.

We offer the most advanced surgical techniques and technology. All patients are carefully screened for safety, and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. Surgical services and facilities include: fully trained veterinary and technical staff to ensure the safest, most efficient, state-of-the-art procedures for your pet; heated surgery tables for greater comfort; advanced sterilization techniques; ECG and oxygen saturation monitors; intensive after-surgery care and full blood testing. Surgical procedures performed include spays and neuters, growth removals, dentals, and cryosurgery.

Knowing the right time to say goodbye to your pet can be a very difficult decision. When that time does come, we strive to create a peaceful and respectful environment that will ensure your pet's comfort and dignity in their last moments.

We are happy to assist you in making aftercare arrangements, such as cremation, by working closely with the external memorial services company, Abbey Glen. We also offer foam and ink paw prints. If you have any special requests, we will accommodate them as well.
