CO-OWNER/SURGEON

Dr. Turk founded 4 Paws 19 years ago with business partner Dr. Weisenstein. He attended Ross University, finished clinical rotations at Oklahoma State University, and graduated in 1991. He is happily married and has two adult children and a blind cat that he rescued. He is a huge Star Wars and sports fan, even though his teams always lose! Any day with a UV index of eight or higher is a great day for him as he loves to sunbathe!

CO-OWNER

Dr. Weisenstein founded 4 Paws 19 years ago with business partner Dr. Turk. He graduated from Kansas State School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. In his free time, he volunteers at a rescue farm and enjoys watching sports, exercising, and spending time with his family and cats. He’s also a huge Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm fan. Being a veterinarian is a lifelong dream of his that he gets to enjoy every day!

Dr. Heinzmann graduated from Western University of Health Sciences’ College of Veterinary Medicine in Southern California. After graduation, she completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery in Boulder, Colorado, and received further specialty training in emergency/critical care and medical oncology in Tennessee. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, skiing, and biking in the mountains.

Dr. O’Malley graduated from University of Pennsylvania in 1996. She has four children and four dogs. She loves to travel all over the world. Her favorite trip was to South Africa.

Dr. Orzel graduated from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007 and attended University of Minnesota for clinical rotations. Fun fact: she was born in Poland!

Dr. Polonet attended University of Pennsylvania for her undergraduate studies and graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. Outside of work, she loves to spend time with her husband, three kids, and two cats. Any free time she has will be spent with a cat in her lap.

Dr. Serevetas grew up in Manalapan and attended Delaware Valley University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine after completing her clinical rotations at Lincoln Memorial University. She has been a part of the 4 Paws family since 2013. Dr. Serevetas is USDA Accredited and is eligible to issue international health certificates for countries that require one! Outside the office, Dr. Serevetas enjoys spending time with her family, especially all her nieces and nephews, and three dogs Chloe, Gracie, and Jude. She hopes to have her own rescue farm in the near future. She can’t wait to meet you and your fur babies!

Dr. Thoresen grew up in Colts Neck and attended the College of New Jersey, where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology. She then went on to attend Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, while she simultaneously trained at Chi University in Ocala, Florida in Acupuncture and other elements of Chinese Medicine. After graduation, she completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls. In her free time, she enjoys soccer, reading, CrossFit, crafting, and spending time with both her pets and friends!

SURGERY

Dean has been working at 4 Paws for over 2 years now. He is passionate and dedicated to the field of veterinarian medicine. He assists in surgery and anesthesia here at the hospital. He is currently going to school and pursuing a Biology major. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and working out.

Donni attended Old Bridge High School. In his spare time, he likes to garden and hang out with friends and cats.

Juliana has been working at 4 Paws for about a year and a half now. She is currently studying Pre-Veterinary Medicine at Rutgers University and is excited to follow in the vet’s footsteps one day. She has wanted to be a vet since she was 8 years old. She loves to hike with Mia, her Australian Cattle dog. She also has a leopard gecko named Sparta.

Karen has worked at 4 Paws for over a decade. She is a cat owner. In her spare time, she volunteers with a rescue group.

Lauren has been in the veterinary field for over 10 years. She lives in Colts Neck with her husband, 2 children, and 2 rescue dogs. Rescuing dogs is very important to her and animals are her passion!

Lindsey is an upcoming junior at Rutgers University majoring in Animal Science/Pre-Veterinary Medicine. She has 2 dogs named Cooper and Ginger, 3 cats, and a snake. She has always had a passion for animals and started working with them when she was a senior in high school. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach and hanging out with her friends.

SURGERY

Michelle has been working at 4 Paws since April 2005. She has 3 pets. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. Her favorite thing about working at 4 Paws is the friendships she’s been lucky to form with co-workers and clients.

Olivia has been a veterinary technician at 4 Paws for years. She studied Animal Science/Pre-Veterinary Medicine at Rutgers University. She has one cat and three dogs- two of which she adopted from clients she met at 4 Paws!

SURGERY

Rikki has been a veterinary technician for over 15 years. She has 2 dogs, 2 pigs, and 7 cats. Animals have always been her passion and in her free time, she loves to garden and spend time in nature.

Samantha began working as a veterinary technician at 4 Paws in November 2020. She has always had a passion for all animals. Growing up, she had many pets ranging from geckos to guinea pigs to dogs and cats.

Sammy has been working at 4 Paws for years. She has a dog and a cat- both rescues! Her favorite thing about working at 4 Paws is the staff and doctors she works with. Everyone goes the extra mile and creates a great atmosphere to work in.
