September 8th is National Dog Walker Appreciation Day, dedicated to showing appreciation for professional dog walkers everywhere! They are important because they provide pets with exercise, mental stimulation, socialization, and routine, which are all crucial in your dogs’ health and happiness.
The last full week in September is National Deaf Dog Awareness Week, created to bring awareness to the unique needs of hearing-impaired dogs. Deafness is usually hereditary and certain breeds are more predisposed to developing this issue. Regardless of hearing ability, deaf pets still bring a lot of love to a home; instead of using traditional verbal commands, they require that their owners use visual cues and hand signals to train them. If you are willing to be patient and consistent, then please consider adopting a deaf dog.
